SBER and PN Hoffman have been selected as the master developers of Washington, DC’s newest waterfront urban development. The Southwest Waterfront is a 47-acre site located within walking distance of the National Mall and Washington's central business district. The development plan calls for a new urban destination that respects the maritime uses of the waterfront while creating a mix of housing, businesses, parks, and cultural spaces.

In 2000 the District of Columbia created the Anacostia Waterfront Corporation to managing a long-term vision for the development and preservation of the Anacostia River Waterfont. The Southwest Waterfront is one of ten key projects that Anacostia Waterfront Corporation has planned as part of their vision for the revitalization of the waterfront.

COMMITTMENT TO THE COMMUNITY

SBER and PN Hoffman have a true commitment to providing business and job opportunities to the communities of Washington, DC and surrounding the Southwest Waterfront. We have set a goal of filling 51% of new jobs by local residents and awarding 35% of all construction contracts to local, small, and disadvantaged business enterprises (LSDBE). SBER and PN Hoffman have also set a goal of 50% LSDBE equity investment in the project.
