Rhode Island's industrial heritage can be seen at the every bend of the Pawtuxet River Valley
The Pawtuxet River Valley and the City of West Warwick were major contributors to the industrial power of Rhode Island for over 100 years. Mills stretch around ever corner of the river that powered the industrial revolution and West Warwick economic growth. In Rhode Island SBER is leading the way on re-developing these historic landmarks that cover the state and provide a sense of awe and inspiration to their inhabitants, new and old.
SBER has partnered with the town of West Warwick to improve the infrastructure of the local public schools. Directly across the street from Royal Mills, sits John F. Hogan Elementary School, where SBER contributed to help build a new playground. SBER has also committed to contribute $400,000 to West Warwick's schools, enabling the town to apply for a zero-interest $4 million bond through the Qualified Zone Academy Bond program, which requires a 10% private contribution.
