Redevelopment of an 118-year old former velvet, corduroy, and lace mill
Struever Bros. Eccles & Rouse (SBER) has been selected to redevelop the historic Crompton Mills site into a mixed-use waterfront development. The 118 year old former velvet, corduroy, and lace mill is situated on the banks of the historic Pawtuxet River in West Warwick, Rhode Island. The 20-acre site currently contains 11 buildings that will be developed into a mixed-use complex including over 300,000 square feet of commercial space and residential units. This project joins Royal Mills at Riverpoint as the second development in the West Warwick community as an estimated $60+ million development.
SBER will partner with Westerman Realty to develop the property and construction is slated to begin in 2007 with completion estimated to be in 2008.
