Calender Mills, the former Providence Bleaching, Dyeing and Calendering Company, is located on 50 Valley Street in Olneyville, approximately one mile west of downtown Providence. Calender Mills is an agglomeration of five interconnected one and two-story buildings, adjacent to the Woonasquatucket River. The original PBD&C complex dates from ca. 1845. The company itself dates back to 1814 under the name of the Patent Calendar Company, and was one of the first textile finishing companies in Providence.

Calender Mills effectively serves as the border between the Olneyville Square commercial zone and the Valley Street residential and professional zone. The complex will have 11 rental townhouse units, each offering spectacular views of the Woonasquatucket River and Paragon Dam, as well as a private riverfront courtyard.

The commercial component, consists of 28,000 GSF of single story space fronting the corner of Valley Street and San Souci Street. This property could also be subdivided for multiple tenant use. The program for the property may be adaptable to leverage opportunities and strategic objectives resulting from ongoing master planning efforts along Valley Street.
